Co-Presidents and Chairman
Michał Szczotka
Michał is a second-year BSc Mathematics, Statistics and Business student who completed internships in both investment banking and consulting sectors. Entrepreneurial at heart, he is torn between various career paths. It is possible that he will have to go to his beloved Bieszczady in order to make a fully informed and thought-out decision.
He has a soft spot for electronic music and an unfulfilled DJ career behind him. If not for his studies, you would find him exploring the secrets of the universe to the rhythm of “Toto – Africa”, skiing or watching/playing football.
Marisa Korpała
Marisa is a second-year BSc Management student. She is a passionate reader of classic Polish and criminal literature and an enthusiast of the Spanish language, the study of which she has recently undertaken. She hopes to strengthen the Polish community at LSE and to apply her knowledge of management to organise the most epic edition of the LSE SU Polish Economic Forum yet.
Jan Zawadowski
Jan is a third year BSc Philosophy and Economics student, who has last year led the organisation of the Polish Economic Forum 2019. This year as Chairman of the LSE SU Polish Business Society, he is supporting the current committee in the organisation of the conference’s 9th edition. Jan is interested in entrepreneurship and VC, consulting, history, skiing, art, and tennis, often attempting to pursue activities in all of these areas. His extracurricular goals for the current academic year are winning the LSE Fight Night boxing competition and bringing his German to a proficient level.
Finance Team
Zuzanna Palion
Zuzanna is a second-year BSc Mathematics with Economics courageously engaging with abstract mathematics problems and attempting to unveil the microeconomic principles within the real world on a daily basis. With a passion for puzzles, she is exploring problem-solving oriented career paths. If not on the third floor of the LSE Library, you can find her in one of the many art galleries or London’s best ramen places. She calls the Masurian Lakes her second home, although she comes from the Silesian Voivodship. Undecided whether she loves sailing or campfires with the guitar more, she cannot spend a summer without those two.
Marcin Mochnacki
Marcin is a first-year BSc in Mathematics and Economics student. Marcin found that his course would not only deepen his knowledge in Mathematics but also allow him to better understand the contemporary world. Apart from studies, he is keen on watching films and listening to music (mostly Polish rap and classical pieces – a rather unexpected combination). Organising the Polish Economic Forum will not only allow him to grow personally but will also give him a chance to cooperate with like-minded individuals in creating one of the best conferences this year!
Jakub Gałczyk
Jakub is on the MSc Finance programme. He joined the Polish Economic Forum Finance Team to broaden his project management and budgeting experience. Apart from finance, Jakub loves whiskey, horror movies, playing the guitar, and mountaineering. He also runs competitively at long distances.
Logistics Team
Maciej Dejnaka
Maciej is a second-year Management student and as the Head of Logistics this year he aims to set a high benchmark for future editions of the Forum. If not for his studies, he would probably be skiing down the Swiss Alps, surfing in Hawaii or sailing across the Atlantic.
Katarina Towiańska
Katarina, being a first-year BSc Management student is keen to challenge herself by stepping out of her comfort zone. She is particularly passionate about the ecological aspect of business, especially in the garment industry, but also the robust environment of the M&A consulting field. Katarina also loves discovering new places where you are bound to see her snapping photos with one of her second-hand cameras.
Krzysztof Jurczyk
Krzysztof is a first-year BSc Philosophy, Politics and Economics student. He is very passionate about politics and is considering careers in international organisations in the future. In his free time he enjoys listening to jazz music and watching old films, especially those with Fred Astaire. Through his engagement in logistics he wants to improve his organisational skills and guarantee the participants enjoy the conference.
Gabriela Król
Gabriela is a first-year student of the BSc Mathematics, Statistics, and Business programme. In her free time, Gabriela enjoys photography, and she is an illustrator for The Beaver. She likes travelling and planning trips and wants to use these abilities while organising the Forum as part of the Logistics Team.
Helena Zagała
Helena is a first-year student of a brand new program: BSc in Psychological and Behavioral Science. An enthusiast of vibrant discussion, always striving for consensus. Before coming to LSE, Helena managed to combine the IB Diploma Programme with a successful sport career, twice gaining the title of Polish Champion and representing the Equestrian National Team in European Championships. Having experience with busy schedules, she now strengthens our Logistics Team.
ł.pitch Team
Alex Książek
Alex is a second-year student of Management at the LSE with a specialization in Finance. In the PBS he is the Head of ł.pitch – the startup challenge competition for tech companies in the pre-seed and seed financing stage. Alex gathered experience in the finance, automotive and real estate industries, working for: MCI capital, a leading private equity firm in the CEE region, Jaguar Land Rover, Marvipol Development and Ernst Young.
Mikołaj Muszyński
Mikołaj is a first-year BSc Management student. He is interested in businesses, especially the sustainable ones; he is currently working on launching his own venture. Apart from entrepreneurship, he is passionate about investments, principally in real estate. As he is an avid extreme sports fan, you are likely to spot him skiing in the winter or windsurfing and water skiing when the weather gets warmer.
Bartosz Gawin
Bartosz is a first-year student of the BSc Mathematics and Economics programme. Funnily enough, as a child he always struggled with mathematics and it was one of the toughest subjects for him. You can always find him at everybody else’s lectures, except the ones he is actually obligated to attend. He chose the ł.pitch team because… well, where else could he find such inspiring young entrepreneurs?
Maciej Winiarski
Maciej is an MSc Management and Strategy student at LSE and a final year student of Law at the University of Warsaw. He graduated from BSc Finance and Accounting at the Warsaw School of Economics. Prior to coming to London, Maciej spent several months in Switzerland, where he gained valuable financial experience and also fell in love with mountain hiking. As an ł.pitch coordinator, he hopes to discover outstanding start-ups and help them connect with investors and industry experts.
Maciej Karasiński
Maciek is a first-year student of BSc Management. He is interested in technology, especially blockchain and digital security, capital markets and tech company evaluation. By working in the ł.pitch team, he wants to support the development of tech startups.

Klara Spark
Klara is a second-year International Public and Social Policy with Politics student. She thrives most when engaged in exciting projects where she feels a genuine connection with the team and mission. As the Marketing Head, she hopes to foster collaboration and creativity in her team. In her spare time, Klara volunteers at a primary school, plays the harp, goes to museums and does various sports.
Filip Nowicki
Filip is a General Course student with three years of Aeronautics & Astronautics studies. He has always been excited about all areas of life in general and his ambition is to be a cross-field knowledge absorbing person. For these reasons, he decided to apply for LSE’s year-long exchange program. He is determined to make a positive impact on the Polish Economic Forum through the Marketing Team Filip is a part of, as it will enrich his general outlook.
Krzysztof Kałużny
Krzysztof is a first-year student of BSc Mathematics with Economics programme. Prior to applying to universities, he had a hard time deciding if he wanted to study sciences or humanities – his other subject of interest. Since he went for the former, now he keeps the balance by committing his leisure time to our Marketing Team, which provides Krzysztof with opportunities to learn not only about marketing but also journalism.
Michał Piątkowski
Michał is a first-year LLB (Law) student. In his free time, he enjoys practicing his public speaking skills and analytically learning new languages. As a member of the Marketing Team, Michał’s goal for this year is to learn more about social media management.
Natalia Słomian
Natalia is a second-year Accounting and Finance student. She is continuing her journey with LSE Polish Business Society for the second consecutive year, now engaging in the marketing strategy. Apart from her academics, she is interested in social geography, sustainability and modern art. In her free time, you can find her cooking, travelling and doing sports.
Media Team
Maciej Śmigaj
Maciej is a second-year BSc International Relations student and serves as both Secretary and Head of Media in the Society. He has a particular interest in Iranian foreign policy and Middle Eastern security architecture. In his free time, Maciej is dedicated to American literature and social events.
Maria Ruhan
Maria is a first-year student of BSc Economics and Social Policy. She is interested in the way society works and finding ways to improve it, which she has further explored by participating in Amnesty International UK. She is also a PADI scuba diving instructor as she enjoys exploring the wonders of marine life in her free time.
Ewa Pospieszyńska
Originally from Gostynin, Ewa holds a First Class Law Degree and is now pursuing Master’s in Culture and Society at the Department of Sociology. Along with her studies, she is developing an online shop – Ewa&J.A. and is a part of Journalism and Society Think Tank at LSE. Ewa likes challenging herself whether academically or in sports, by trying out Kitesurfing or Aerial Dance. She is also bringing challenges to the new edition of PBS and develops her journalistic skills on the way.
Zuzanna Samson
Zuzanna holds an MA in International Relations and is current an MSc Human Rights student. Beside her academic interest in analyzing global problems such as uncontrolled migration, transnational wars or interfaith conflicts, Zuzanna enjoys photography and writing short reportages. She has always been involved in student newspapers and television, and that is why she joined the PBS Media Team. Her wish is to spread the knowledge about Polish culture and history and reinforce Poland’s perception abroad.
Jan Żybała
Jan is a first-year student of Bsc Accounting and Finance. Although he initially started the LSE Law programme, he transferred early on due to a change of interests. He chose to engage himself with the Media Team, to gain experience that he would usually not be exposed to as part of my rather quantitatively-orientated degree.

Weronika Czaplewska
Weronika is a master student of Economics and Philosophy. She is the head of Research Unit, a project which is responsible for conducting research concerning the situation of young professionals in Poland and in the UK. Weronika is interested in public affairs. In her leisure time she loves reading about ethics and public policy.
Mateusz Masiak
Mateusz is pursuing an MSc in Applicable Mathematics. He is interested in applying mathematics-based quantitative techniques to financial modelling and has already been involved in several major projects regarding this issue, including one for a hedge fund and also for a FinTech start-up. In his free time, he explores London on an electric skateboard.
Maciej Miland
Maciek is a first-year student of BSc in Financial Mathematics and Statistics. His main areas of interest cover computer science and machine learning. In his free time, he plays chess and—if it’s summer—beach volleyball.

Wiktor Babiński
Wiktor is a second-year student of BSc International Relations. He has a dog named after a fictional character portrayed by a current LSE professor. This year he is managing the Speakers Team to deliver to you top quality panels.
Alicja Dudek
Alicja is a MSc Real Estate Economics and Finance student at LSE, serving as a Course Representative and assisting the LSE Real Estate Club and Women in
Business Society. Last July, Alicja graduated from the University of Liverpool with a First Class Honours Degree in Business Economics. Whilst undertaking this degree, she spent a year in China where she completed China Studies and worked on property development projects in Asia – something that has become an important dimension of her aspirations to become a real estate investor and entrepreneur. Aside from her studies, Alicja’s greatest passions include travelling, snowboarding and fitness.
Aron Adamski
Aron is a first-year student, studying BSc in Economics. He loves to play football and prior to university he played for teams such as FC Barcelona Escola Varsovia and a few local Polish and English clubs. He is also very passionate about Polish politics and economics and through his work with the rest of the Speakers Team he is hoping to host a very insightful array of guests so that the forum will spark an engaging debate on the most important issues affecting our country.

Zuzanna is a 3rd year Bachelor of Laws candidate at the LSE. Having grown up abroad, she was eager to reconnect with her Polish roots via her involvement with the LSE Polish Business Society and by helping to organise the Polish Economic Forum. Łukasz Kremky
Łukasz is a first-year student of BSc Politics and Philosophy programme. His academic interest relates particularly to postmodern philosophy as well as modern social and political thought. Apart from exploring the relations between politics and philosophy, he is a devoted railway enthusiast. Thanks to his work in the Sponsorships Team, he wishes to stay in contact with various professionals and get a bit more familiar with industries they represent.
Jakub Motała
Jakub is a MSc Accounting and Finance student at LSE. He is passionate about technology, physics and bringing positive change to finance. If not skiing or reading, Jakub spends his free time arguing (sometimes fruitlessly) that the discipline he studies is in fact very interesting.
Dobromił Wereszczyński
Dobromił is a first-year student of BSc Politics and Philosophy. He has shown his passion for his subjects by doing a Philosophy Matura and attending a dozen MUNs in Poland and abroad. Jokingly (or not) he says that his goal for this course is to go to a student exchange to Sciences Po.
Aleksandra Furmanek
Aleksandra is a first year student of Politics, Philosophy and Economics. She hopes to make the world a better place one day and is unwilling to go to investment banking. Nothing makes her as happy as a philosophical discussion over a cup of tea. She hopes that the Polish Economic Forum this year will be a space for stimulating conversations.

Andrzej is studying Actuarial Science. He is passionate about disruptions in the financial industry. Andrzej brings to the table an extensive business experience from working in various institutions.
